About Amy

After more than 20 years of teaching and tutoring, I have the experience and qualifications necessary to be a subject tutor in Spanish, Math and/or Economics. As a veteran educator, I know that working one-on-one with students makes a big difference. I have taught every level of Spanish from first grade through AP Spanish Language and Literature and I have taught high school and college math through Calculus. I have an M. A. from University of Pennsylvania and a B. A (magna cum laude) from Georgetown University. I tailor my teaching to meet the students' needs and to their learning style. I use a variety of techniques - everything from songs to kinesthetics - to make learning as fun as possible. I am extremely patient, kind and understanding and always maximize my time with my students. I am passionate that rigorous but exciting academic enrichment is the key to students' success. I will work relentlessly to help my students reach their potential.
