I'd describe my personality as enthusiastic, kind hearted, and compassionate. I like caring for seniors because they have lived a life of many lessons learned, and as they lose their strength and need support, I find it an honor to be someone that can walk with them in their time of need. I'm looking for a job that understands I am a single mother to two children, and my schedule has to be able to work around my oldest's school schedule so I am home when he gets off the bus while school is in session. I have a toddler as well who will be in daycare during my work hours. I started caring for seniors when I was very young, around 8 years old. My great uncle stayed with us after being diagnosed with dementia, and I would help him get dressed, brush his teeth, comb his hair, and move around the house. My skills include alzheimer's/dementia care, encouraging movement and supervised independence, and being able to find a way to connect and create a trusting bond.
