About Amanda
I've tutored/taught young children through high-school students in all subjects. I am very patient and accessible to students. I had straight A's growing up and went to UCLA where I earned a B. S. in Psychological Biology. I'm very understanding. I once failed a math test as a child and it could have been the end of my academic career it felt like, but the supportive tutoring I got changed everything!! I've also instructed swim lessons and made great progresses with students of all ages and skill sets. I've taught parent-infant classes, adults with no swimming experiences, and even helped young swimmers get better at swimming competitively. Whether you or your loved one(s) are water-phobic or just looking to swim with better technique, we can reach your goals together.

I am very glad to write this letter of reference for Amanda. She is one of the most talented young people I have ever had the pleasure of instructing during my 35 years in education. Amanda is a gifted young woman who not only excels in all areas of academia, but she also is a great example of how young people can positively lead others in areas of service and character. Her rigorous academic courses and dedication to the responsibilities entrusted her by the National Honor Society, the California Scholarship Federation, the school newspaper, and the varsity swim team earned the respect and admiration of her peers and the faculty. Besides her outstanding academic success, Amanda had leadership roles in campus as a vice-president of our chapter of the National Honor Society, an editor of the school newspaper, and as president of our Interact club. She leads by example and also inspires others to raise their own standards. Amanda continued her success while completing college and now looks to share her abilities with others in a professional setting.
