About Amanda

I have been registered as a Certified Nursing Assistant since 2017 with experience in long-term care/end-of-life care facilities, hospitals, and personal in-home hospice care. For 2 years I studied under the medical director of Palliative Care at Overlake Hospital with the dream to become a Palliative Care Physician. I was accepted into medical school in 2020, when suddenly my father died. My own experience with tragedy, trauma, and loss changed the direction of my future and in 2021, I left medical school to pursue my passion of helping families and their loved ones understand and transition through loss and grief by working as a Death Doula. I continue my work today in home as a hospice consultant for families helping them move through the difficulties of hospice and end of life work so they can enjoy and be present for the time they have left with their loved ones.
