This is the background check we require for all caregivers.
Due to the pandemic I am unable to accept job offers at this time. I have a great deal of experience tutoring for a variety of subjects. Subjects that I have tutored for previously include biology, genetics, microbiology, physics, organic chemistry, animal science classes, biochemistry, and more. Most of my previous students have been at the college level, however, I have tutored a few students at both the high school and middle school levels. I am confident in my ability to successfully tutor for any class below the college level, including Spanish. For college level classes and labs, please just send me a message asking if I am able to tutor for the specific class you have in mind. When I tutor for a class, I not only work on book problems with my students, but I also create entirely original study materials (such as practice exams and quizzes) as well as impeccable notes for supplementary help. Additionally, I can tutor using any or all of the seven different learning styles.

I am able to assess the capabilities of Amanda from the time when she was an undergraduate student in an introductory genetics class that I teach at the University of Rhode Island. She was one of the better students in the class of over 120 students. She performed extremely well on all graded assignments (homework, quizzes, exams). She was a fully engaged student, always ready to ask questions and prepared to improve her understanding of the material through more detailed discussions of the course material. In short, she was the type of student that all instructors hope to have in their class. Since completing the course, Amanda has, on occasion, served as a tutor for the newer students in the class. She has served extremely well in this capacity. I have heard positive feedback from several students about how the help provided by Amanda allowed them to succeed in the course. Amanda is intelligent, well spoken, hard working and focused. She has the personal qualities that make her competent, friendly, well mannered and helpful. She is very personable and works well with others. She is serious and motivated as a student and would do well as a tutor or mentor for any course covering material in the biological sciences.
