About Amanda

I like working with kids because I enjoy seeing the way kids find joy in new discoveries. Seeing kids get excited about new things they learn about the world allows me to look again with new eyes and share their excitement. I'm looking for a job that is part time, up to 6 hours a day, with enough flexibility to allow me to travel when I (hopefully) have interviews for grad school. I am open to tutoring at the elementary school level. My math at the middle and high school levels is a little rusty, but I can help in other subjects. I have no preference on kids ages, I have worked with kids of all ages. I spent the last 3 years working in special education, first in a school for severely and profoundly disabled kids, and then in a mainstream school. I am comfortable with and open to working with kids with disabilities.
