I'm a former private school teacher and Education Director for a nonprofit theatre. I have experience with all ages from early childhood development to mentoring high school students. I'm looking for a family to love and nurture! The most important thing for a child's development is that they feel loved, valued, and safe. I always strive to make sure the children I have cared for over the past 15 years feel they are nurtured and important. I have experience working with children of all ages as a nanny and a dance and theater teacher. I babysat for over 30 families in NYC and was a nanny for one special family for 3 whole years. After deciding to move back to NC, I couldn't be happier to call Asheville home. There is so much culture and nature to enrich young lives, here, and I hope to share that with your family, soon.

There's a whole lot to say about Amanda!! She's a regular Mary Poppins! She is the right balance of everything. She's always smiling always happy and works very hard. She values people and her heart is for children. We refer to Amanda by the name/term "Angel" because she is so much to so many and she pours herself out daily to her babies from the deepest well of care and affection. When we met her 3 years ago we knew it was going to be a life long friendship. My son who is 12 said the other day "Mom when I come back from being away at college is it okay if I stop by and visit Amanda first before you? Now that's love and that's a sign that she has poured into my sons heart. That she has invested in him and his reaction toward her is the evident fruit. He also says often how much he loves her and how much she means to him. We think of her as family and we know there's nothing she wouldn't hesitate to do for us if we had a need. Amanda is the #1 best choice for a Nanny!
