About Amanda
Experience: 16 yrs
I started my nursing career working as a CNA for 10 years. During that 10 years I had started nursing school. Once I got my nursing degree I worked in several areas of nursing, however, my heart always came back to my patients with dementia. In the spring of 2019 I opened and ran a dementia unit for the company that I worked for 13 years. This role was very dynamic and I had to have excellent time management skills as well as being able to multi-task. I was the C. N. A, the nurse, housekeeping, activities, social worker, etc. At the end of 2021 I had a life change and had to leave my role as Legacy Lane Coordinator. I am happy to say that I am now back working with my dementia/Alzheimer's patients as Memory Care Director at an assisted living in Fishers, IN. I'd describe my personality as up-beat, positive, and kind. I'm looking for a job that is very flexible. My skills include medication administration, assistance with ADLs, and ability to assess.
