About Alycia

I'd describe my personality as calm, transparent and fun! I like working with kids because they're curious, honest and hilarious. They keep you on your toes and require presence and creativity! I'm looking for a job that matches my strengths with what the right family needs. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old as the neighborhood babysitter (and eldest daughter of 3!). I babysat and nannied throughout high school and college, and began working as a mental health counselor in 2018. In my spare time, I like to do yoga, go to the beach, swim, surf, hike, see live music, explore parks and restaurants and spend time with my friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I have extensive experience with trauma-informed care and developmental psychology! My skills include patience, transparency, and crisis de-escalation skills.
