Over the last six years, I have been helping families take care of their children that have a variety of disabilities. I have a lot of experience bathing, feeding, playing, giving homework help to kids with autism, Down's syndrome, cerebral palsy and other disabilities. I found that I really enjoyed working with all children during my undergrad. I started to babysit for families who have children with autism and found that I really enjoyed seeing the positive influence that I became to these children. Many children became more verbal, engaged in more eye contact and became more social.

Alma and I met in 2005 when she was in high school and I was a teacher in her district. From the moment that I met Alma, I knew that she was an outstanding person. Alma is an extremely responsible, capable, intelligent person. Additionally, she truly cares about others. One of my first caregiver experiences with Alma was in 2006 when she was a cabin leader at a science camp for middle-school children. I was a teacher and my students were attending the camp. She was so great with the students. She was responsible and caring, and they really bonded with her. Years later I know Alma as an experienced educator and caregiver. Anyone who spends time with Alma will be better off for it in my opinion. I wholeheartedly recommend her as a caregiver. She has worked for me many times in a care-giving capacity in the last five years and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Specifically, Alma cared for my daughter many times since her birth 5 years ago. I am not exaggerating when I say that my daughter loves her. Please contact me if you would like more information. :)
