About Ally

Hi, my name is Ally! I am a third-grade public school teacher in Morris county. I graduated with a 4. 0 and my Masters's degree and certifications in elementary and special education from Rutgers Graduate School of Education in 2020. I am currently in my third year of teaching third grade, but also have experience with teaching fourth grade. Through this, I have experience teaching all types of learners, including gifted students and students with special needs. I am also trained in Orton-Gillingham and received my training certificate in August of 2022. Orton-Gillingham uses a multisensory approach to teaching phonics, spelling, and reading. It implements strategies such as visual and tactile input, repetition, and dictation to support and reinforce phonological awareness. Outside of teaching within the classroom, I also have two years of prior tutoring experience as well, ranging from children in preschool to rising fourth graders.
