About Ally

I have been taking care of kids most of my life! I am a NE Portland local, left for five years and came back at the start of the pandemic. I have worked as a nanny, tutor, mentor, teacher, counselor, and paraeducator. I speak pretty good Spanish, and when I'm not working I love to roller skate (park skate!), sew, and plan gatherings with friends. I have a degree in American studies, and work full time in housing case management. I am an activist and want to work with families who seek to teach their kids values like empathy, community care, and autonomy. I work 45-50 hours per week and am mostly looking for the occasional job with families who are a good fit.
