About Ally

Hi, I'm Ally! I'm a certified elementary teacher (K-4), and I'm heading into my fifth year of teaching. I absolutely love watching the lightbulb moments and growth students make in the classroom. My favorite part of a school day is time I get to spend working in small groups or one-on-one to provide structured, individualized intervention. My approach involves structured, explicit teaching of building block concepts while developing the learner's independence to apply skills and strategies on their own with accuracy and automaticity. In time, this strong foundation fosters students' abilities to make deeper connections, ask questions, and demonstrate qualities of a lifelong learner. Above all, I seek to empower my students. I provide the tools, experiences, and structure they need, and this allows them to reach their goals and build confidence. I live in Gilbertsville, PA with my two dogs, Junie & Finn. Outside of teaching, love to travel, catch up with friends, & be outdoors!
