About Alexis

Other than having three little brothers that I've watched, fed, entertained, and ushered around since I was 12 years old, I have watched four (4) other families long term as a nanny. My former nanny kids have been 9 months old to freshman in high school. These days, since I work as a Teacher's Assistant while I finish my education degree, it is hard to be a full time nanny, but I miss babysitting on nights and weekends. I love having consistent families that I can build fun and loving relationships with. I also have experience as an AmeriCorps Member in a middle school which is what brought me to Texas in the first place. I have nannied or worked with students who have severe allergies, are nonverbal, and who need assistance eating, using the bathroom, and constant one on one attention. I am comfortable with pets, as I have grown up with dogs and pet sit now on occasion. I am from Iowa, but I grew up moving a lot and traveling around for hockey and figure skating.
