About Alexis

My first experience with teaching and tutoring began in Santa Barbara after I had graduated college. I started off at Dos Pueblos High as a paraprofessional to a mild mod class of around 12 to 18 kids, depending on the day. Each child needed different care and attention, often requiring a specific individualized planner for their schedule. On top of classroom training, we regularly went on several outdoor excursions. During the same time, I was tutoring two separate families, Max was only age 8, and Tyler was 13. Both needed help with all subjects, and I was more than happy to do so throughout the week. Saying our goodbyes at the end of the year was a bit rough, as I had grown incredibly close with the families. We even celebrated my birthday in April, which was a nice little reward for us getting so close to the end of the year. It would mean the worlds to have that joy again. Whether it's practicing multiplication tables or reading our weekly log, I'm ready to help anyway I can!
