About Alexis

My passion for teaching truly blossomed in Santa Barbara. Before graduating, I was a paraprofessional to a mild mod class of around 12 to 18 kids at the local high school. Each child's care and attention was customized, often requiring individualized planners for their schedules. On top of classroom training, we regularly went on several outdoor excursions. During that same time, I was also tutoring two separate families. M. was 8 and homeschooled, and T. was 13, attending Montessori. Both needed help with all subjects, and I was more than happy to do so daily. Saying our goodbyes at the end of the year was a bit rough, as I had grown incredibly close with the families. We even celebrated my birthday in April, a lovely reward for getting so close to the end of the year. It means the world to have that joy again, and to make a difference in these lives, no matter how small. Whether it's practicing our multiplication tables, or reading our weekly log, I'm more than eager to help!
