About Alexa

Hello! My name is Alexa, and I am currently in my fifth year of teaching for Lincoln public schools. I've taught 2nd and 3rd! I started tutoring kids independently roughly 8 years ago, after I had had some training and how to teach and guide children. I have independently tutored children from ages 2 to 14. I excel at creating a differentiated, unique tutoring curriculum for each child I teach. This individualized curriculum is based solely on the needs of your child both as a learner and as a person. I have successfully taught preschoolers to identify words and sounds, and begin to read short stories. I have training in teaching phonics to all ages of children, as well as math number sense and complex ideas to a range of abilities as well. I enjoy the challenge of identifying areas where children need further help or support, and then helping a child reach their goal. I create a fun, engaging environment for your child to learn.
