About Alexa

My name is Alexa and I'm a preschool teacher by trade. My area of expertise is ages 2-5. I'd describe my personality as calm, thoughtful, playful I like working with kids because they have so much to teach me and help me understand the world better. They keep me feeling young and on my toes. I'm looking for a job that is more long term/permanent. I started working with kids when I was a teenager. I was a babysitter, a full time nanny in college and then I went on to teach preschool. In my spare time, I like to hiking, reading/writing, cooking for my friends and family. One thing you should know about me is I'm naturally introverted and I warm up to people at a slower pace but once I feel comfortable with you, my full personality comes out. My skills include patience, communication, planning and instruction.
