About Aimee

I am a certified, Ohio reading and math elementary teacher. I have taught for many years in private schools in Ohio. Teaching reading is my passion. I have been trained in the Wilson Reading program, Phonemic Awareness programs and in a program called Read Naturally. These programs together have helped me bring struggling readers into a place of greater independence, fluency and automaticity in reading. I call my reading tutoring, Reading Lab. Reading lab is a time of enrichment or intervention that uses teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring-three strategies that research has shown are effective in improving students' reading proficiency. Using audio support and graphs of their progress, students will work with high-interest material at their skill level to improve fluency and increase confidence and comprehension. This program is not only designed to help struggling readers, but to support and advance the progress of those who are reading at grade level.
