My name is Dori, I am a rising junior at the University of Michigan. I have a lot of experience caring for children and would be interested in helping your family this summer. I was a counselor at a summer sleep away camp working with elementary to middle school aged children for one year. I also worked as a tutor while I was in high school for younger students. Additionally, I was a sitter for a family for multiple summers and also have experience with babysitting for various families for shorter periods of time.

I am an extremely patient, diligent individual of whom loves to be around and taking care of children and their families. I love teaching them and making them laugh as well as laughing with them. I love life and love the outdoors and through the years of taking care of children, I have learned to appreciate just how how important standards, values and morals are in life. I believe in making the most out of every situation and setting goals based on the needs and wants of the parents as well as keeping the children excited about life and education and always striving towards them through diligence and encouragement. I am extremely easy going and love being around people, I enjoy exploring and seeing life as an adventure. I learn quickly and am always willing to learn more and gain better skills for the future as every family and child is different and I easily adapt to all different parenting styles which makes it easier for the parents and not disrupt the home teachings.

Part-time/full-time Caregiver Available
I have been a babysitter and tutor since I was a freshman in high school. I am now a rising junior at Boston College. During high school, I volunteered biweekly as a teachers aide in DC, tutoring and mentoring elementary students. Over the past summer, I worked at Headfirst Summer Camps where I taught elementary and middle school students about sports and teamwork. Additionally, during my sophomore year at college, I volunteered twice a week at an after school program in South End, Boston, where I worked with students from ages 4 to 12. Throughout the past 5 years, I have been an active babysitter and neighbor for families in the DC, Rehoboth Beach, and Boston area. As the oldest of four sisters, working with children has always been a passion of mine. I have learned so much from the experiences I have had and hope to continue building on these skills so that I can one day pursue a career in childcare.

We are looking for a great nanny for 3 children in Bethesda. I, the mother, Shannon, would be around most of the time, but I just need an extra hand around the house. I also need someone to stay with the kids while I run quick errands. We would prefer someone who could help out with light housekeeping and meal preparation. We would prefer a nanny who has their own car and who does not smoke.
