Hi my name is Olivia. I come from a loving military family, my father is a Captain in the Navy. I am a piano performance major at Towson University. I have 8+ years of babysitting experience. I also have experience teaching rigorous piano lessons to children. I drive my own car. I love to organize, cook and clean. I can cook a variety of nutritious meals. I love fitness, reading, coloring, music, playing piano and dancing. I conquered mixed martial arts for 4 years. I am part Japanese and half White American. I am comfortable working around pets. Hello! I have extensive experience with kids in a variety of capacities. From giving 500 hours of swim lessons, to organizing after school programs, to babysitting nieces and nephews, I have the skills and experience of a phenomenal babysitter.

I took an Education class at the University of Michigan this past year, where my final project was to teach an extended lesson to a student. The project required weeks of planning, but the teaching of the lesson, which was a history lesson on World War 2, went extremely well and I earned an A on my final project.

I am a teacher focused on implementing highly effective instructional practices to improve student learning and academic performance. During my college and student teaching experience, I acquired skills in strategic classroom management, and ways through which I can implement an effective. I am highly motivated in doing my best throughout my instruction, searching and using best educational resource. In my past and current educational opportunities I learned how to quickly identify and resolves challenging classroom situations. I want to integrate into my lessons strategies and materials that will make learning exciting and enjoyable. I am motivated by the belief that all children can be successful learners, and I see the future in every child's eyes. I currently work as an elementary school teacher. I am currently a middle school teacher at MCPS and I am looking for a nanny position for over the summer. I've worked at a Montessori school caring for children and infants aged 6 months-6 years and I am certified in CPR. I have 3 years experience teaching swim lessons (I was a D1 swimmer at GW) and I speak French. I am also available for tutoring! I have taught French in MCPS for 5 years and have tutored French and ESL since 2013. I know the intricacies of the language and culture and can improve your language skills with specific lessons tailored to your needs.

I'm the oldest of 5 brothers whom I watched when we were younger. I enjoy babysitting my younger cousins and teaching them valuable life lessons. I also have experience working with children who have behaviors and Autism. I was in charge of helping these individuals complete their mandated programming and teaching them to be productive citizens when they leave programming.

I have worked in childcare for over 8 years in various capacities and all ages; from babysitting, nannying, being a camp counselor for 6 summers, teaching swim lessons as a lifeguard, and working at after-school programs. I am child and adult CPR/First Aid and open water lifeguard certified. I grew up in DC and am moving back since graduating college. Hello, I'm Amanda! I am a graduate of Gallaudet University and a licensed educator with a B. A. in Special Education. I have had five internships working in schools with kindergarteners through high school seniors, meaning I have the experience needed to help you and your kids through school this year. I have nearly 13 years of paid babysitting experience under my belt including infants through early middle schoolers in groups up to 5 children. I spent my high school years as a regular volunteer in my church's nursery for children 3 months-7 years, for a total of 90+ hours of care experience in a group setting. For the last 8+ years I have provided a combination of swim coaching and individual swim lessons for children 3-18 years, and have been a certified lifeguard (CPR/first aid included) for 8 years as well. In addition to my education degree, I studied language learning for Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, and use American Sign Language in addition to English.
