I am Licensed for up to eight children by the State of Maryland Childcare Administration. I have one full-time certified assistant and two certified part-time assistants that work with me. My program is a comprehensive approach that addresses the developmental needs of children through their early growing years. I conduct daily circle time, work with children on language and number skills, and we do lots of daily arts and crafts. My program, also, includes plenty of creative and interactive playtime activities for children. Details are provided upon visit. I have numerous letters of recommendation from parents. References are, also, on parents' social media sites.

My daughter has been with Shohreh for more than 2 years. We're only leaving because we're moving out of the state. Leaving Shohreh's is honestly the hardest part of moving, since my daughter absolutely adores Shohreh, Angela, and all of her friends. Shohreh is caring, kind, and more patient than i could ever be! My daughter comes home every day with a new piece of artwork, and her language skills are well above her age. It means a lot to have a place where you can send your only child and feel that she is safe and loved, and Shohreh's is exactly that! When my commute was terrible and I was working long hours at the office, shohreh was always flexible and understanding. My daughter would often make me sit and wait until 5:30, when Shohreh's closes, because she didn't want to leave early! Shohreh's is amazing and i've recommended it to all of my friends and neighbors!

My program serves children from infants through 4 years old. I have 10 years of pre-K teaching experience, and I'm licensed and accredited by the Maryland Department of Education Office of Child Care. My goal is to provide a safe, secure environment for your child that fosters physical, social, emotional and cognitive development.

Activities are designed to provide stimulating experiences for the children where they can learn through their own inquisitiveness. The emphasis during the toddler and preschool years is on building self-confidence and encouraging the natural curiosity that toddlers and preschoolers possess. Throughout the day, children enjoy the large variety of play materials that are readily made available to them, as well as creative centers where children can enjoy fun activities such as playing dress up, building with blocks and experimenting at the sensory table. Art, music, language, math and science activities geared to little hands are also introduced.

Elham and her staff were a godsend to us. As first time parents we were very anxious about going back to work and finding care for our 3 month old. We were deciding between keeping our baby home with a nanny or placing her in a small child care center. We ended up choosing this provider because she and her staff created such a warm and loving environment in their in-home child care center encouraging interactive play with the other children. It was not overwhelming like the other places we interviewed. On the first day we left our baby I could tell right away that she felt safe and comfortable which was a huge relief and reassured us that this was the right choice. This provider gently transitioned our baby on a schedule that worked for both of us which ultimately resulted in better eating habits and better sleep for our baby. This provider shares the same belief as we do as parents that these first few years are crucial to social and cognitive development and it was evident as they were always very interactive with the babies while they were awake making each moment count. She kept very good communication with us and was always very responsive throughout the day if we had questions or wanted to check in. In addition to caring for our baby, this provider and her staff were always very supportive of us as parents and always had tips or suggestions during the ever changing stages of infants. Her operating hours were also very helpful for us as my husband and I both worked downtown and the commute was always unpredictable. We were able to drop off early in order to get to work on time and have enough time to get back out of the city at the end of the day. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience for our baby girl and are so thankful that we found this provider . I highly recommend them.
