We absolutely love Shooting Stars! Our little boy loves going there each morning and he is learning so much, so quickly! We are so impressed with the things they teach them. They do such a great job with the children and we feel so lucky he is so loved and cared for by Elham and her mom!

Elham and her staff were a godsend to us. As first time parents we were very anxious about going back to work and finding care for our 3 month old. We were deciding between keeping our baby home with a nanny or placing her in a small child care center. We ended up choosing this provider because she and her staff created such a warm and loving environment in their in-home child care center encouraging interactive play with the other children. It was not overwhelming like the other places we interviewed. On the first day we left our baby I could tell right away that she felt safe and comfortable which was a huge relief and reassured us that this was the right choice. This provider gently transitioned our baby on a schedule that worked for both of us which ultimately resulted in better eating habits and better sleep for our baby. This provider shares the same belief as we do as parents that these first few years are crucial to social and cognitive development and it was evident as they were always very interactive with the babies while they were awake making each moment count. She kept very good communication with us and was always very responsive throughout the day if we had questions or wanted to check in. In addition to caring for our baby, this provider and her staff were always very supportive of us as parents and always had tips or suggestions during the ever changing stages of infants. Her operating hours were also very helpful for us as my husband and I both worked downtown and the commute was always unpredictable. We were able to drop off early in order to get to work on time and have enough time to get back out of the city at the end of the day. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience for our baby girl and are so thankful that we found this provider . I highly recommend them.

We have had our son at this daycare since he was 3 months old and he has been there for 2.5 years. Our experience has been so wonderful that our daughter joined him when she was 3 months old. This is the most warm, caring and safe environment. I feel they truly love my children but an added bonus is that they meet or exceed all developmental milestones thanks to personalized attention and focus on learning! Our oldest has a fall birthday and we felt we could delay preschool until age 3 because Elham does such a good job at teaching him. Elham is extremely responsive with the reasonable exception that she is very attentive to the children and cannot answer phones when attention must be on them. Most of the time my kids do not want to leave when I pick them up. During the Covid-Era, they have bent over backwards to keep us safe and to keep daycare open. 5-Stars is not enough- they keep our world going and we trust them with our hearts!

The review from Paul D is so shocking to me. I have known this daycare and owner since they first opened in 2016. This daycare is sooooo lovely!! It has everything!! There's outdoor play area. There's education curriculum, plenty of toys and books and safety measures inside the daycare. The owner is soooo nice, understanding, and accommodating. She is more than qualified as a daycare provider and child care provider. She's so great with my daughter. She cares for the kids as if they are her own. No problems with the daycare or owner.

We have had our daughter at Shooting Stars since January 2019 and have had a great experience. Elham is a warm and caring person and our daughter loves to see her every day. Paul D's one star review is honestly quite surprising given our experience.

This place should not be a Day Care. Our child was so unhappy there to the point of appearing almost traumatized. We pulled him out after a few weeks.
The lady running the Day Care should be in a different business. She is a disciplinarian without empathy and has little tolerance for parents who wish to receive information about the child's health during the school hours - or ever!. She never responds to text messages unless it is to request that the parents pick up the child from the Day Care because of illness. She even rebuked me once when I texted her to find out how my child was. The infrastructure is also extremely poor.
I would not recommend this Day Care and would ask Montgomery County Inspection Board to take a good look at this place.

Dear Paul D,
I hope you and your family are staying well and safe,
I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience but I have never ever had any customer with your name. I have a limited capacity and work with a few selected families over time. I know all the parents and even the grandparents closely, and work with each family for a long period of time (2 years in average). Unfortunately, none of my customers recall you. I don't have any claim from you on any of the records. None of my inspection reports indicate any non-compliance. It has been 5 years I'm in this business and I have never ever had any problem as such with any of my clients. All the parents and staff are considered and being treated as a family called Shooting Stars.
In regard to infrastructures, I always give at least one or two in person tours of the facility to all parents before registration. If you knew the infrastructures were not satisfying for you, I am wondering why you registered your child here in the first place. Also, we get inspections from 3 different agencies on a regular basis. If the infrastructures were poor, the state wouldn't have issued my license until I resolved all the problems.
If you have any problem with my daycare ("Shooting Stars Children House" located in Bethesda, MD) and you are sure you haven't mistaken me with anyone else, I strongly recommend you to use your real complete name. And if you have ever had any contract with me, you should know the businesses contact info. I'm remain and would be more than happy to discuss this further. But please be advised that if any of your objections were true, my business couldn't have been in existence by now. Given that several months have passed since you put this review for me in many websites, my business would have been closed by the county by now if any child were traumatized here.
Lastly, as a childcare professional I advise you to please make sure you choose the right daycare for your precious child and don't keep him/her over there until it gets to the traumatizing point. Wish you and your family best of luck and hope you reconsider your values in choosing the right daycare for your loved ones.
