Seeking a special person for a one-year after-school tutor position working with an exceptional 12yr old girl starting as soon as possible. The position is ideal for a current college student or recent graduate who is interested in gaining meaningful and fulfilling work and life experience before starting graduate school. Our daughter is a happy, active, and wonderfully intelligent 6th grader who has apraxia (motor planning challenges that have impacted her ability to speak). She communicates using alternative and augmentative communication methods (spelling for communication using an alphabet board or keyboard). The key part of the job will be learning to support her ability to communicate effectively.
