About the job
L. E. is an 18-year-old male who is motivated to learn to read, but has reading impairments. He has a part-time job, but improving his reading skills above a current first-grade-level (at best) is important. I am his CASA (he is in a foster home), and he may not be able to afford more than one hour a week tutoring if the cost is $25 an hour. He is on the autistic spectrum, but he has maturity. I could be present for the tutoring sessions, too. I was an English major in college - but have never had to help teach someone to read.
