We're looking for a patient and experienced sewing instructor to teach our 13-year-old daughter the fundamentals of sewing. She's eager to learn and we have a sewing machine ready for her to use. What we're looking for: Someone who can teach basic sewing skills from the ground up (threading a machine, basic stitches, reading patterns, etc.) Experience working with teens/pre-teens Ability to make lessons fun and engaging Patient teaching style that builds confidence Lesson details: Looking for regular lessons (frequency to be discussed - weekly or bi-weekly) 1-2 hour sessions In our home with our sewing machine Starting with basics and progressing to simple projects Ideal projects to work toward: Simple items like pillowcases, tote bags, or scrunchies Eventually working up to basic clothing alterations or simple garments
