About the job
I work for a nonprofit and am deeply committed to serving more people in my community. As a single co-parent of a toddler with a rotating biweekly schedule, I have limited time for formal classes. I'm ready to adjust my routine to make room for serious learning. I'm Mexican American, but I never learned Spanish growing up. My parents only spoke it when they didn't want us to understand. Now, my daughter is becoming bilingual, and its important to me that I catch up so I can connect with her fully in both English and Spanish. I'm highly motivated and eager to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible. My goal is to hold real conversations in Spanish in both personal and professional settings in the very near future.
