About the job

Married couple in mid-80s, the man with gradually increasing dementia. Balance issues - falls and needs mobility assistance (uses a cane). Seeking assistance on flexible schedule a few days each week 10am-2 p.m. (presence while spouse is out) AND 7pm-9 p.m. (for evening routine from dinner to bedtime--undressing, bathing, brushing teeth, pajamas, clean-up bathroom). Approximately 10-20 hours per week variable. Spouse is generally present, sound mind, etc. but growing weaker in ability to assist daily. Other family members are close by in the neighborhood, and sometimes provide assistance. About the care needs: Experience & confidence with engaging elderly, including being unaffected by an occasionally uncooperative patient. Services needed include: presence in-house to assist with mobility, bathing / dressing, meals, light cleaning.
