LOCATION: Fredericksburg, VA DAYS/HOURS: (some flexibility) Tuesday and/or Thursday, 4 hours a day between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (one week only, with possibility of longer term) DUTIES: Provide companionship and attentive care for an elderly woman who is bed-bound, has zero mobility, is non-verbal, and living with Alzheimer's. Responsibilities include companionship, assisting with feeding, helping with comfort, offering emotional support, engaging in gentle conversation or calming mentally stimulating activities, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in senior care, particularly with Alzheimer's or dementia patients and is patient, compassionate, attentive, reliable, and creative. Flexibility to assist occasionally on the weekends.
