About who needs care: She fractured her kneecap and is in a cast that reduces her mobility. Her companion and caretaker needs respite care. About the care needs: I think mom would prefer a woman. Having the same person consistently would help her feel more comfortable. Mom is a retired telephone operator and plays the piano. She tends to have anxiety, so someone calm, steady, experienced would be helpful. She weighs 115 lbs and will need help maneuvering with the leg cast and PT. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
