About the job

About who needs care: My mother is 91 years old and lives with dementia. She has significantly reduced mobility and uses a walker, but she requires hands-on assistance at all times to move safely. She also needs help with all personal care tasks, including using the bathroom and eating. Due to a high risk of falling, she cannot be left alone at any time. In addition, she is hard of hearing and has macular degeneration, which limits her vision. Despite these challenges, she has a very pleasant and friendly demeanor and responds well to patient, gentle support. We are looking for respite care that can ensure her safety and well-being while providing compassionate, attentive assistance. About the care needs: A woman who is friendly and will chat with her when needed. Someone over 40 would be preferred. They need to have the skills to address her needs as outlined previously.
