About the job

About who needs care: Mom has dementia and needs a patient person to listen to her stories. She needs help bathing, hair brushing, having conversations, fixing a meal , not sure what else. She is intelligent and loves to talk about history. Ideally, someone could come and encourage her to dress, maybe sit on the porch, drink some coffee and visit. This is all new to us and her caregivers need a little break. About the care needs: A good caregiver should be patient, intelligent, be able to carry on a good conversation as well as know how to make care decisions that brighten mom's day. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
