About the job

About who needs care: He had a stroke in November 2024 and is still recovering. He can walk with a walker and utilize a wheelchair. We are still using a stand assist to get him to the bathroom in order for him to bathe and use the bathroom. He fills his own pill box. He likes to go outside to sit on the deck or get on his lawnmower which his physical therapist okayed before they stopped coming. He needs help getting into bed at night. He's diabetic and takes both short and long term insulin which he would need assistance with. He spends a good portion of his day watching tv. About the care needs: Somebody with experience dealing with somebody who has had a stroke and who can assist with insulin to maintain his diabetes. He has gardened and fished his whole life and loves westerns. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
