About the job

About who needs care: My grandmother has early stages of dementia. It varies from mild to moderate time to time. It jaffects her memory the most but can also make her a little incoherent and and confused sometimes mainly at night. The main thing I will need you to do is monitor her medication and make sure she takes what she is supposed to and doesn't take anything she's not I fill her pill planner up. She can get around on her own mostly but occasionally gets dizzy and unsteady on her feet and has fallen in the past but not recently. She can shower on her own but I always make sure I'm home when she does just in case. She might need a little help sometimes making meals but not a lot. I also have 2 dogs but they are harmless one of them might bark until he gets used to you. About the care needs: They just need to be patient because she tends to ask the same questions a lot and you have to constantly remind her of certain things. She's slightly hard of hearing but it's very mild. We haven't been to get her a hearing aid. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
