Betty is 92-years-old and needs a part-time caregiver (three days a week) to help with basic daily needs. Her adult daughter lives in the home but works full time, so we need someone who is caring and attentive to keep her safe when family cannot be there. She recently has become too weak to use a walker and cannot be left alone. The day would start with assisting her out of bed. She has a catheter (that will be emptied by the daughter) but will still need help to the toilet as needed. She has a rollater with a seat attached that she is transported in. She will need assistance with dressing. After dressing she can be rolled out to the living room and helped on to the couch, where she will be most of the day. You would then prepare her coffee and orange juice and ensure that she takes her medicine, which will be set out. You would then prepare a light breakfast. Throughout the day you would keep her hydrated, prepare food as desired, keep her company, greet neighbors that come by regularly, and do any light housekeeping that is needed. She is on hospice for palliative care and a nurse will come by once a week, and a CNA twice a week for bathing. We are looking for a strong and service-minded woman who is friendly and is familiar with caring for the elderly.
