About the job

Seeking a registered nurse to provide companionship, hands-on care and consulting services for my 88-year-old mother, who suffers from moderate cognitive impairment as a result of Alzheimer's (and for my father who is her primary caregiver). Experience with managing and administering medication is required. The ideal candidate would regularly work Sundays from 10:00-2:00 at my parents' home on the border of Shadyside and North Oakland, but would also be available to consult with my father, myself, and our two existing caregivers (one CNA and one without medical training) when health situations arise at other times during the week. It would be wonderful to find someone who also has the flexibility to scale up his or her hours as my mother's need for care increases.
