ABOUT: My mom (78) has metastatic cancer, and is in treatment. She is progressing well on oral therapy. She needs help w/ some ADLs and IADLs. She is mobile with a walker and enjoys exercise at home, short walks, reading, using her computer for emails & naps. CARE NEEDS: - Meal prep - Assist w/ PT exercises (instructions provided by physical therapist) - Observe habits & help ensure safe practices around mobility. - Keep log of activities, abilities, challenges, symptoms and progress. - Take on walks - Monitor medication schedule REQUIREMENTS: - Some experience working with patients who are in active PT - Experience w/ cancer patients - Highly organized w/ a gentle, warm demeanor. Able to keep client focused on habits needed to restore health. - Prefer someone who is not also caring for children. Client is immune compromised.
