Care for a 22-year-old non-verbal adult young man with autism. Responsibilities: follow routine; assist with ADLs; help him complete his chores and enjoy leisure activities; transport for outings; use positive redirection; coordinate with family. Preferred qualifications: 3+ years with developmental disabilities/autism; valid driver's license & reliable vehicle; non-smoker; calm, communicative, physically able; willing to learn communication device and visual supports. Preferred: special education, intervention specialist, or SLP credentials; DODD provider credential. This would be a great role for someone who previously worked in the school system who enjoys working with individuals with developmental disabilities but no longer wants to work in a school setting. Availability for 2 years or more is desired. Training is provided.
