About who needs care: Short walks if weather allows, color with her. Fold fabric swatches with her, use activity bins to keep occupied. Chair exercise. Watch tv with her. Listen to her stories (often repeats them). Clean bathroom, sweep & mop bathroom/bedroom weekly. Change soiled sheets. Assistance with cleaning peri area after using bathroom. About the care needs: My mom has no filter. I need someone who has worked with Alzheimer's patients. Must be patient. Can't be sensitive to her word choices. Can be firm but not rude or disrespectful to keep her safe. Can listen to the same story over and over again. Familiar with redirecting her to keep her safe and occupied. Services needed include: companionship, changing soiled disposable brief, cleansing peri area( washing genital & anal area). Aid brushing teeth & cleaning dentures, etc.
