Seeking hands-on care near Port Jefferson for my mother who is 89. My mom has dementia and can get confused often. She needs assistance walking with a walker, she is very unsteady. She usually stays in bed and watches TV. Some assistance with meds are needed. Mom can feed herself. Mom wears a diaper and will sometimes use the toilet for bm and needs full assistance for shower. Prep of meals and some light housekeeping is needed. May need some transportation for appointments. We are also looking for someone to provide companionship as well. No pets in the house, however cats do live on the second floor, not in care area.
