About the job

About who needs care: 89 yr old father. Transitioning from Nursing Home back to his residence (house). Requires level 1 assistance for transferring with slide board, dressing, toilet, bathing, general personal care mornings and evenings. He has some lower mobility and strong upper body but cannot walk, uses wheelchair and can stand using grab bar for 2 minutes. Mentally He is fully aware and conversational. He is on medications; family can handle this. He is diabetic but no meds. Basically, I believe what we are looking for is called Personal Care aid to get him up in the morning and to bed in the early evening. He is at the Nursing Home until probably July 1 or until we can get services in place. Thank you About the care needs: Care Giver need to be strong (or skilled) enough to support 200 lb patient that has limited mobility. He is lucid and cooperative. He is in a wheelchair and will probably use a commode but with a little extra assistance a bathroom is available. Physical therapy described his assistance level as needed is 1. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
