About who needs care: My grandmother is 94 yo. Our day starts off with a quick diaper change, dressing her in sweats and tshirt and brushing her hair. She has fallen several times in the past and broken both arms. Both are heeled now. We walk from her bed to living room chair where she spends the majority of the day. She has toast and coffee, one - to two diaper changes and then dinner and off to bed. We do utilize a manual hover lift on carpet when shes in too much pain to walk. We have physical therapy come in a couple times a week. I live with her full time and take care of her full time as of now. I have been away from my job with the state for a little over a year and id like to return to reinstate at current level. These tasks are what I could need help with. Some of it I normally did before I left for work when she could still walk without assistance. Id of course love to create a plan that would make my life a little easier but also cost effective and minimize necessary hours. I do have two uncles that live on the property in case of emergency but not much help with their mother. About the care needs: My grandmother has poor vision, watches/listens to Fox News all day, *sorry if thats not for you. But she is perfectly happy to chat and get to know new people. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
