About who needs care: I live with my parents. My 78 yo mother is the main care giver for my 81 yo father with advanced dementia. We need respite care, that is licensed to help with toileting. 2-8 hours a week, and especially when I am out of town occasionally. About the care needs: My father is often confused, and not aware of how disabled his memory is. He is also a fall risk when he is tired. The care giver needs to be kind, but unoffendable, because my father can be very defensive when he is confused.
