About who needs care: My mom is a retired nurse living with moderate to advanced Alzheimer's. She lives with my father to whom she has been married for 60 years. He is completely overwhelmed and needs help. She did well with home health care after recent hospitalization for UTI but otherwise refuses to bathe or change clothes. She likes to walk. About the care needs: As a nurse, my mother loves nurses and aids. She responds to kind caring women familiar with dementia patients who refuse care. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
