About the job

We need companion care to support my mother in Wilmington. She has MS and a seizure disorder so has a alot of ups and downs -- some days needing a lot of help physically and cognitively and other days really just needing companionship or transportation. We are looking for 6 to 8 hours during the week to start that may increase to more. We are also looking for additional availability when we travel which may be over some weekends. Assistance with medication prompting is often needed. Some light tidying up is involved. Seeking someone to handle occasional meal preparation. Duties include providing companionship and social interaction. Part of your responsibilities will include running errands. You'll be responsible for transporting to/from appointments. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with dogs.
