About the job

About who needs care: Mom has cancer and an infection that has left her confused and weak especially in the evening. She is a devout Christian and loves reading the Bible and doing crossword puzzles. Her eyesight has gotten a lot worse recently and she can no longer do these things on her own. I work nights at Wake Forest and need someone to stay with her when I cannot, from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m. This caregiver would need to prepare and ensure she eats dinner, takes her medicine and spend time doing activities About the care needs: I would love a female companion who is patient and kind. Someone willing to read and discuss the Bible, do puzzles or watch a good crime show! While I don't mind someone checking their phone I want their primary focus to be on my mom and spending time together. Mom is in her final years and I want her to be comfortable in her own space and have as much independence as she can until the end. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
