My mom has mild cognitive impairment and significant apathy, which can appear as depression. She is physically capable but does not initiate daily tasks on her own. Care is needed 3 days a week, with visits lasting about 1. 5 hours each. Days are flexible, and visits should begin around 11 a.m. or later. Each visit includes a shower and hygiene support, including dental care, light physical activity, walking, dumbbells, or gym, a simple meal, and outdoor time or a local outing, mileage reimbursed. Light cleaning is expected, wipe counters, swiffer or vacuum, dust, dishes, clean toilet, supplies provided. She should be gently encouraged to help with simple tasks like folding laundry. Initial visits may include light organizing or unpacking, as she recently moved. No lifting or medical care required. Access to apartment amenities provided.
