About who needs care: My wife has Parkinson's Disease. She is dependent on a walker or wheelchair. She prone to falls, so she needs assistance getting on/off the wheelchair, in/out of bed, on/off the toilet plus dressing and showering. Any household work would be light, such as washing & folding laundry, preparing a meal, getting her coffee, changing sheets, etc. She generally spends her time on the couch and watching television. No real activities or hobbies. This will free me up to run errands, food shop and have some free time. About the care needs: She communicates very little now. Very soft and low voice and doesn't speak much at all. Some knowledge of Parkinson's Disease & symptoms would be helpful, but nursing skills aren't necessary. Remind her to take medications (pills) that are already laid out. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
