About the job

About who needs care: Mom has dementia Dad is physically fragile (COPD), on oxygen, and starting to show signs of dementia. Both need to be reminded to take pills, shower, and so on. My sister will help setup their pills in pill boxes. Need help with basic household chores and simple meal prep Errands will be done by a grandson/daughter. May need transportation to a medical appointment on occasion. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be someone who is friendly, yet assertive when they need to be. Someone who shows interest in their interests, e. g. gardening, MN pro sports, family. Someone who is discrete and shows empathy with them, yet communicates to them and 1 main family member any concerns or changes that are noticed. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
