About who needs care: We are seeking a kind, patient caregiver who will act as a trusted friend to a vibrant, creative and soulful woman who has dementia. More than anything, we are seeking someone who is patient, playful, has a sense of humor, and enjoys being active with our mother. This person must be willing to assist with non-care duties as needed, including help with technology, driving, meal prep and shopping, and laundry. Our mother enjoys many activities, such as the movies, plays, museums, pottery, and this person ideally would also share similar interests and be willing to take her on excursions to local cultural events, etc. About the care needs: Ideally, the caregiver is energetic and outgoing who enjoys taking excursions to museums, movies, music, etc. Would be great if this person had an interest in pottery and gardening. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
