About who needs care: This care is for my 87-year-old mother who is currently, for the most part, bed ridden. This is with the exception of transferring her to the commode. She is a fairly larger woman who may take some time moving or transferring. This being said, we will need someone who is very patient and flexible. She does not leave the home. She enjoys good company that is willing to listen to her stories and do some exercises. As far as health concerns, she has Diabetes and Neuropathy. She has minimal prescribed medication and is fine mentally, however struggles with daily physical activity/ tasks. About the care needs: *Flexible Hours (to be discussed during interview) *$500 - $1, 000 weekly + room and board (to be discussed more in detail during interview) *This will not need to be 24/7 care Overview: We are seeking a compassionate individual as an In-Home Caregiver to our elderly mom who has limited mobility. We will provide room and board supplemented with a wage, work schedule will be discussed during an interview. As a caregiver, you will provide essential assistance to her in the comfort of her home, supporting her daily activities and enhancing their quality of life. Responsibilities: - Assist client with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Prepare and serve nutritious meals while considering dietary restrictions - Monitor vital signs to ensure the well-being of client - Provide companionship and emotional support to client - Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment - Administer medications as per prescribed schedules Skills: - Experience in senior care, home care, or assisted living settings - Ability to assist with meal preparation and medication management - Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and her family - Understanding of medical systems and procedures related to caregiving Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
